The Bungoma County government and the Ministry of Sports, led by Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba and Governor Kenneth Lusaka, have come to an agreement to transform the Masinde Muliro Stadium into an internationally renowned facility.
This collaboration will bring about significant changes to the ongoing construction project, elevating the stadium to meet global standards.
One of the key improvements will be the revamping of the Main Dais, which will now include a VIP podium and upgraded changing rooms for enhanced functionality and comfort.
Additionally, Sports Kenya will take charge of constructing 20,000-seater terraces and a dedicated parking lot in Phase 2.
The county government will focus on completing the main dais and pitch to meet international standards, while Sports Kenya will oversee the remaining construction phases.
With this revised plan, the stadium will be modern, well-equipped, and ready to cater to various sporting needs, providing a world-class experience for athletes and spectators alike.
