Multiagency security teams on 5th October 2021 visited residents of Longal village in Ngoisusu sub location, to rally locals to know their neighbors towards easy identification of suspicious individuals amongst themselves.
The visit also aimed at creating rapport between the locals and security agencies to enhance cooperation for security provision and community policing amongst themselves.
The team was led by Officer Commanding E Company 9th Kenya Riffles Major James Fereji and Capt (Dr) Abu Sadik.The visit comes as residents continue settling back to their homes as calm resumed following a month long multiagency operation in Laikipia County.
Additionally, Kenya Defence Forces Medical team drawn from B Company of 40 Rangers Battalion today conducted free medical camp to residents of Nagum location, Laikipia North Sub County.
The residents drawn from various villages within the area were treated for diseases such as Malaria, Diarrhoea, upper respiratory tract infections and hypertension. They were also given health education on nutrition and other common diseases.The multiagency operation continues.
