Kenya is one country that is so privileged to have freedom of worship. However, the rise in the number of âprophetsâ in our generation particularly on TV, radio, and Churches is âALARMINGâ The prophecies themselves are âWORRYINGâ A lot is PROBABILITY Science, a branch of mathematics concerned with the analysis of random occurrence whose outcome cannot be determined before it occurs, but it may be any one of several possible outcomes. The actual outcome is considered to be determined by chance.
When a so called prophet says to a crowd of 50, 500, or 20,000, someone here, watching or listening whose first name begins with âSâ, you have backaches, or asks a person, â Ni nani mwalimu kwenyu (Who is a teacher in your family)?â Thatâs pure probability and manipulation translating to witchcraft.
We donât have to look far to see that there are many false prophets around today and many are being led astray. When the truth is mixed with a bit of falsity, we can be deceived. Many will swallow it because outwardly it looks good and sounds good.
False prophets know how to impress people with outward shows of piety. The problem with false prophets is that they usually tell partial truths. Thereâs a proverb that says, âA half truth is a whole lie.â
False prophets are Men-Pleasers Driven by their Own Heads and Hearts. They use clever Language and appearances to disguise themselves. They cover and color their dangerous principles and soul-impostures with very fair speeches and plausible pretenses, with high notions and golden expressions.
False prophets strive more to win over men to their opinions, than to better them in their conversations. They make merchandise of their followers. through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you. They eye your goods more than your good; and mind more the serving of themselves, than the saving of your souls. So they may have your substance, they care not though Satan has your soul.
This generation more than any other wants to live however they feel like without character boundaries or authority. Unfortunately, there are plenty of teachers and preachers eager to give the people what they want to hearâand usually, they end up making a large sum of money off it.
From feel-good prosperity preachers, preaching to the âGo deeper congregationsâ to teachers who deny the literal existence of eternity, to religious leaders of the popular earn-your-way-to-heaven efforts; false prophets are everywhere. False prophets refuse to call out sin.
They are hell bent on âDEDICATIONSâ of everything rather than the root of human fall which is Sin.
Prophecy must focus on recreation of human Character to realignment of your life with Godâs Will and not blubbering âChoreographed verbal enchantmentâ of how you will buy a car, fly to overseas, or sensual analysis of political events.
Itâs a confirmation to what God revealed to you in private not human familiar spirits revelations. False prophecies are akin to witchcraft and socery. Buy it at your own risk. Read your Bible, pray and let God speak with you. If He so wishes to confirm it, He will.
One sign about Godâs word is that you will have peace when a true prophet confirms it. Otherwise, you will end up dancing with demons at your financial cost.
