Emmanuel Glen popularly known as Manu Glen has been elected as the new Emerging Leaders foundation Alumni association Vice-Chairman.
The election which he described as “a timely win” came after he had previously failed to clinch the chairperson position for the Africa Biblical Leadership Initiative (ABLI) 2020 cohort.
The popular philathropist who hails from Bungoma was elected on Friday, 7 May 2021.
While announcing the election in a statement on Wednesday, the new vice chair said the that he would do his best to use his abilities which are instrumental in steering the association’s mandate.
Mr. Manu pledged to utilize the opportunity to spearhead good leadership and serve all members with respect and build a long-lasting community for all youths in Kenya and Africa at large.
The emerging leader took to his Facebook page to acknowledge his senior leaders who supported him throughout the process.

The Emerging Leaders Foundation Africa (ELF-Africa) is a non-profit organization located in YWCA Parkview Suites, Nyerere Road Nairobi
The organization once acknowledged by Former US President Obama exists to empower, support and accompany young women and mento achieve meaningful, dignified and impactful participation in governance, economy and public affairs at all levels of society.
Emerging Leaders Foundation Africa (ELF) was founded in 2011 by Caren Wakili.
Wakoli’s foundation made so much impact that Former US President Barrack Obama had nothing short of praise for her when he toured the country in 2018.
In his speech, Obama mentioned Caren as one of the young Africans he was proud of and applauded her for the good work she was doing in Kenya to mentor youths and eradicate poverty.
“Some young people in this continent are doing the hard work of bringing change to their communities, who reflect Madiba’s values, who are poised to lead the way.
“People like Caren Wakoli who is an entrepreneur from Kenya, who founded the Emerging Leaders Foundation to get young people involved in the work of fighting poverty and promoting human dignity,” he stated on July 16, 2018.
Manu glen is one now one of the beneficiaries of the foundation’s work. He is also the founder of Graceway Foundation, a nonprofit organization that aims to help and uplift the needy.
