GUILTY: DEREK CHAUVIN, the U.S police officer who knelt on George Floydâs neck for over 6 minutes during an arrest killing him has been found guilty of murder and faces upto 40 years in prison.
Chauvin was found guilty on three charges: second-degree murder, third-degree murder and manslaughter.
Floydâs death in May 2020 angered the world sparking protests against police violence and racism.

George Perry Floyd Jr. was an African-American man murdered by police during an arrest after a store clerk alleged he had passed a counterfeit $20 bill in Minneapolis. Derek Chauvin, one of four police officers who arrived on the scene, knelt on Floydâs neck and back for 9 minutes and 29 seconds.
