NAIROBI, Kenya, May 15, 2025 — Maisha TV has solidified its position as a rising star in Kenya’s competitive media landscape, securing fifth place among the country’s most-watched television stations in 2024, according to the Media Council of Kenya (MCK) State of Media Survey report released on Thursday. The report, launched in the presence of ICT Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo and MCK officials, highlighted Citizen TV as the leading station with a commanding 53% viewership, followed by Inooro TV at 6%, K24 and NTV tied at 5%, and Maisha TV at 4%. DSTV, KTN Home, and Ramogi TV each recorded 3% viewership, underscoring Maisha TV’s notable achievement in a crowded market.

Maisha TV’s Shining Profile
Maisha TV has rapidly carved out a distinct niche in Kenya’s media ecosystem, earning a 4% viewership share and ranking fifth in the 2024 MCK survey. Known for its vibrant mix of entertainment, lifestyle, and culturally resonant programming, the station has captivated audiences with content that celebrates Kenyan stories and values. Its innovative approach to engaging younger demographics, coupled with high-quality production and relatable shows, has positioned Maisha TV as a dynamic player in the industry. By consistently delivering fresh and diverse content, the station continues to build a loyal audience base, holding its own against established giants like Citizen TV and NTV.

In the digital space, Tuko.co.ke topped news websites with 40% readership, while Daily Nation remained the most-read newspaper at 34%, despite a slight decline from 2023.
