Member of Parliament Ngunjiri Wambugu has vehemently called out Deputy President William Ruto after Nyeri residents refused to be addressed by him during the DP’s rally at his constituency.
In a series of social media posts after the humiliating event, the lawmaker said the kind of shame and depression he underwent during Ruto’s rally in Nyeri town was a clear message his fellow Kieleweke MPs that the DP might not hesitate to do the same thing if they continue opposing him in his bid to become 1st in command in 2022.

“DP Ruto’s political mobilization against me in Nyeri is a message to pro-Uhuru/Kieleweke MPs that he can do the same to them if they don’t join his 2022 team. He’s trying to bully us into submission. Should we submit?” he posed on Saturday, October 31.
In yet another post, the seemingly vexed parliamentarian also vowed to “teach all of you a lesson”

The MP accused the DP and his Tanga Tanga team of inciting Kenyans and causing the rejection and insults he underwent in Nyeri.
Reports indicate that the deputy president was notified of Wambugu’s presence in his gathering and that’s when DP Ruto asked him to speak. However, when the DP then asked for permission from his audience, that’s when the chorus of rejection ensued from the crowd.

“I am informed mheshimiwa Ngunjiri is here with us. Mheshimiwa Ngunjiri unataka kuongea ama bado? Wananchi wamekata sasa shauri yako. (Would like to speak? The people have refused, it is now upon you),” he said amidst heavy booing and heckling from the crowd.
The crowd vehemently refused to have the Kieleweke MP address them, proving their stand by waving hands to say no.
In his tour of Nyeri, the DP made a stopover in Nyeri Town on Friday, October 30.
The Jubilee Party deputy leader was accompanied by at least 24 loyal Tanga tanga legislators from his house
