Former Member of Parliament for Bumula and Kanduyi, Hon. Lawrence Sifuna, who was famously known as one of the “seven bearded sisters” of the Left Wing Members of Parliament in the 1980s, has passed away.
The news of his demise on Saturday night has brought deep sadness to his family, friends, and the entire Bungoma county. Hon.
Lawrence’s significant contributions will be greatly missed, as his remarkable career, passionate political battles, and compassionate nature have left a lasting impact on all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
