A tragic road accident on December 18, 2023, has resulted in the loss of four lives. The incident occurred when a Nakuru-bound matatu, operated by Msamaria Shuttle Ltd, lost control and collided head-on with a 60-seater bus at Hill Tea Area along the Eldoret-Nakuru Road.
The matatu was carrying 16 passengers at the time, and sadly, the driver and three other passengers lost their lives instantly. Nine other passengers sustained serious injuries and are currently receiving treatment at Eldama Ravine Sub-County Referral Hospital.
