
The Principals of 7 schools in western Kenya were honored by Maisha TV following the their outstanding leadership that led to exemplary School performance in 2023 .
The recognition awards that took pace during the jamhuri day acknowledged the outstanding academia leadership of the top principals.
Speaking to Maisha TV in Bungoma at Bungoma royal suites Hotel on Tuesday, the principals extended their appreciation to the teachers, students, parents, and Board of Management adding that they contributed to the great performance.
The principals said the award will motivate and encourage the students and the entire school fraternity to work even harder.
In addition, they noted the schools have also been actively participating in various co-curriculum activities including rugby, music, soccer, volleyball and hockey at the county, regional and national levels.
Maisha TV recognized principals from secondary schools that excelled in this year’s national exams and academics achievements in 2023 who formed part of the top 100 western Kenya eminent personalities including kamusinga boys high school principal mr.paul weloba appreciated maisha tv for partnering with schools and providing a unique platform for promoting exemplary academics perfomance
Mr. Gerald Ooko, the principal of Maliera Primary School, expressed his appreciation for Maisha TV and discussed the importance of schools.
Meanwhile, Patrice Kisaka, standing in for Madam Rosebella the principal of St. Joseph’s Kitale Girls, extended her thanks to Maisha TV for their collaboration with schools. he highlighted the outstanding academic achievements of the 2,007 girls, who achieved a mean score of 8.2 and are striving for even greater success.
On the other hand, Mr. Benson, the principal of Shikhulu Boys, acknowledged the numerous challenges faced by the school, including a lack of water, an abundance of mosquitoes, and limited resources. However, he emphasized his transformative efforts and the positive impact on the school’s performance.
Similarly, the deputy principal of Mbale Boys acknowledged the normal challenges faced by the school but expressed gratitude to Maisha TV for creating a platform to schools
He also called for the news to reach an international audience.
Mr. Edwin Nyamachanja, the principal of Maranda Boys, thanked Maisha TV for showcasing school activities and highlighted the benefits that Maranda Boys had gained from the program.
Mr. Albert Khalwale, the principal of S.A. Kolanya Boys, expressed his appreciation to Maisha TV for recognizing school principals.
Nyambaria Boys Principal Mr. Charles Onyari who emerged as the top school head nationally, Ms. Linet Sati from Asumbi Girls, Mr. John Kuria from Mang’u High School and Mr. Simon Masibo from St Antony’s Boys school in Trans Nzoia were also honore.
