President William Ruto, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, and President Yoweri Museveni had a productive meeting at Kisozi Country Home in Uganda on Monday.

Ruto shared that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss Odinga’s candidacy for the African Union (AU) Commission chairmanship.

“This relationship includes bringing all the seven East African Community nations closer in their ultimate goal to form the East African Political Federation…We discussed critical issues that affect our two countries such as energy and petroleum,” said Ruto.

Moreover, Ruto emphasized the importance of strengthening the diplomatic and economic ties between Kenya and Uganda. He highlighted the goal of bringing all seven East African Community nations closer together in their pursuit of the East African Political Federation.
