Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata is on spotlight for wrong a reason.

Yesterday, Senators and members of the public were left astounded after the UDA footman and Murang’a gubernatorial aspirant Irungu Kang’ata logged in, into a parliament session from an ‘inappropriate place.’
His ‘location’ was brought to the attention of the speaker by a colleague who claimed Kang’ata was trying to address the house from Sabina Joy pub.
Senators broke into laughter, considering that Sabina Joy is a renowned nightclub along Nairobi’s Moi Avenue. The entertainment joint is mainly known to be a brothel
In a video that has since gone viral, Kang’ata is heard trying to make his contributions to the house proceedings through its online platform, from a location later dismissed by Speaker Kenneth Lusaka as inappropriate venue.
The lawmaker had virtually crashed into the session when Lusaka had granted nominated senator Beatrice Kwamboka a chance to address the house.
Lusaka insisted that the former Majority Whip switch on his camera, as dictated by the house regulations when a member joins sessions virtually.
“Mr. Speaker I’m here. I’m online, my video is on. Mr. Speaker, I’m online,” Kang’ata is heard saying.
The speaker pressured the Tanga tanga-allied lawmaker to switch on his camera in line with the set regulations.
After switching on his camera as instructed, a senator, whose identity is yet to be established, seemingly reacting to the nature of the background of Kang’ata’s location, accused him of addressing the house from a bar along Thika Road before alleging that it was indeed from Sabina Joy.
“Mr. Speaker he is on Thika Highway drinking… Mr. Speaker, he is in a bar, Mr. Speaker, he is at Sabina Joy,” the unidentified senator insisted.
Caught red-handed, Kang’ata tried to defend himself from the allegations, insisting that he was in his office but Lusaka dismissed him, stating that he could not speak from the ‘inappropriate’ location, commonly known as Sabina Joy
