Renowned singer Kidum, born Jean-Pierre Nimbona, has shocked his followers online after posting about quitting music then deleted the post 50 minutes later.
Celebrities have been known to pull such moves for clout but it’s still a wonder whether it’s really the end of good music.
Kidum has in recent interviews appeared to detail what led to the end of his first marriage, noting his music career had attracted a lot of jealousy and people wanting to prove a point. He had added that his career reduces the time spent with family.
“Music business breeds a lot of jealousy. And most outsiders will always want to know, how is it that someone can sing like this and who is this person’s wife? Some will think that by invading your wife, they can take away your talent. Then some women think they can steal an artiste from their wives. So those are the things we go through,” Kidum said when talking about the mistakes he made in his first marriage.” He said
