Kenyan sprinter Ferdinand Omanyala has disclosed that his girlfriend Lavenda used to pay rent and settle their bills when he was broke.
Omanyala: “I was training without goals and we had no money but thanks to my girlfriend as she was paying the rent and bills because she was working. She would bring money to the table and allocate some to my training, rent and food.”
The fastest African in 100m was speaking at The Stanley Hotel where he was awarded a brand new Toyota Harrier and undisclosed amount of money.

The two loves birds are blessed with a son called Finn. Lavesh is also a sprinter and upcoming longjumper.
Omanyala also appreciated his father who he pointed out that has been very instrumental in his journey to Stardom.

Omanyala disclosed the little known details about his journey to success at a time he was being gifted a brand new Toyota Harrier at Stanley Hotel on Wednesday for breaking the African 100 metres record last weekend at the Kip Keino Classic Tour.
